    Our nursery

We aim to provide a calm, caring and supportive environment with varied fun and exciting activities, carefully planned to follow each individual child’s interests and encourage the learning of key foundational skills for future life and learning. Making new friends, building confidence to have a go and trying new things are all a major part of a child settling and enjoying their time with us.

We follow the Early Year’s Foundation Stage framework and statutory requirements. Being a part of an Early Year’s Foundation Stage unit means that children become accustomed to the building and staff that work together within the unit making transitions to their St Mewan Reception class a very calm and smooth process.

    School admissions

Applications for a Reception class place must be made via the Cornwall Council school admissions process and we need to point out that there is no guarantee that attending our Nursery will result in your child/children being granted a place at St Mewan. The school admissions system runs independently of schools and we have no say or control over any part of this.
