Once the Year 4 children return to us after their summer break in September, we embark on a great couple of days, where all the Children and Year 4 Staff get to know each other really well by joining together on our Year 4 residential.  We spend 2 nights based at Porthpean Outdoor Education Centre, where we are kept busy for the 3 days doing loads of activities such as, kayaking, canoeing, coasteering, traversing, climbing, high ropes, leap of faith, and lots, lots more.  The end of the residential is usually marked by all the Adults and Children going on a journey by canoe, to a beach where we play water games.  During the days on the residential we enjoy lovely picnics and some brilliant homemade evening meals.  On all activities the children are accompanied by staff from St Mewan, whom all the children know.

After busy fun filled days, there is always evening entertainment, where the children can relax, we usually have a campfire and a barn dance.  We have always had really good comments from the children about this fun filled residential, where they seem to bond together and have a thoroughly good time.  We return home on Friday afternoon, very tired, with some lovely memories, looking forward to spending the school year with our friends.
